It’s been a busy few weeks, and I’ve neglected to share that several have mentioned that “they’ve enjoyed my Sabbath evening missives…” A short note

Summer is definitely here. How can I tell? Easy. First I am watching many of my neighbors busily working with their “Yard and Garage Cleaning”…
Recently while visiting with brethren I was reflecting on a story that I shared with them about flying when traveling to visit one of the
Go! Go! Go! Activities, appointments, projects, things needing done. Demands, deadlines, Bible Studies to prepare, sermon messages, seminars, meetings, people…does any of this ring true to you also?
Here on the Gulf Coast, as well as in the northern hemisphere, spring and summer is the time where everything really starts to grow! As I sit at my desk in my office, the noise outside of mowers, trimmers, blowers and the like is almost distracting, but a welcome sound.
As I mowed the lawn earlier this week, something else caught my attention that is growing…yes, you guessed it, weeds.
Sharing, or giving, comes in many different sizes, shapes, and packages. Sometimes it is the simple act of kindness that is the most rewarding. Which reminds me of this famous quote, “Man there was, and they called mad; The more he gave, the more he had.”
Are you a lean-forward person?
Are you making progress towards our common spiritual goal-the Kingdom of God? Becoming likeminded, as Philippians 2:5 admonishes us, requires examination, change and then moving forward.
This spring Feast season contained a different feel for my wife and I this year.
Normally, at least for the past 7 years, my wife and I would have again boarded a plane and headed to South America for a pastoral visit.
Even though we did not this year, my memory reminded me that each time we left the U.S. the following weighed heavily on my mind.
Last evening the members of the Ekklesia of God observed the Lord’s Passover. It is a sobering evening, but also very encouraging!
Might I suggest we all go back and re read John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” as well as John 17 :13 “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.”
