“1 Peter 2:5 – In His Hands, We Are Built”
This Psalm demonstrates what it means to be righteous. Resist the advice to flee the wicked in fear and instead to take complete refuge in God who can be trusted in faith.
This Psalm begins with the psalmist expressing his frustration to God that the wicked seem to be flourishing despite their rebellion against God. The Psalmist continues with a fervent complaint against seeming injustice and a plea for God’s intervention and justice.
When we are going through a difficult situation, or being attacked, how should we respond in a Godly way. Let’s look at how David responds and learn from him.
David expounds on God’s greatness, His glory, and praises the excellence of His name. David bases it on the evidence found in His work, the starry heavens, man, and the rest of His creation.
What are we to do when someone is declaring evil against us or wishes to destroy us? What should our course of action be? Let’s look at and learn from David’s example, a man after God’s own heart.
In Psalm 6, we find David in deep affliction, suffering sickness in body and trouble in his spirit, and earnestly appealing to God for mercy and relief from this punishment. We find David suffering from an unknown illness and he is trusting in God’s gracious reply.
David found success in living a life connected with His God through daily prayer. Let’s examine Psalm 5 to learn how to be effective in prayer.
In Psalm 4, we find that David is in conflict with some men, and we see through his prayer or psalm how he walks through this time of conflict.
We will take an in-depth look at Psalm 3 and see what lessons we can learn from it. Lessons that will help us through our difficult times when we feel all alone; when we feel all is lost; when we don’t know how to go on.
