Paul wrote his last words to Timothy in the second book of Timothy. We can see that he was thinking about the coming Fall holy days and was hoping to see Timothy during them. Paul refers to the Feast of Trumpets in several verses that will be discussed.
There are many things we do in life, that often we have no idea as to why we do them. And, we’ll go a step further. What and why do we believe what we do, and why do we then keep doing such? What do we see from scripture regarding these questions?
We often view humility as something that is needed for those who we perceive as conceited and puffed up, not for us. It is human not to look inside ourselves and realize that we also are in need of humility. We review scripture showing that God requires humility for every level of humanity, from the one who rules kingdoms, to the average person.
Jesus Christ and the 12 apostles were sent by the Father to accomplish a very special mission on the earth. Christ and the Father chose the 12 apostles to be the foundation of His church over which the grave would not prevail. He chose men accustomed to hard work, not fancy clothes to carry His message to the world.
Let’s examine three distinct worlds or ages that are discussed in the Bible.
