We use two terms in English, “form” and “substance” in many proverbs or wise sayings. We will discuss these two terms to enhance our understanding of some very important lessons that are taught in scripture.
Many may be aware, that the Jews keep their Passover on the evening of the 15th of Nisan. But, is this the correct day to observe the Passover? Did Jesus Christ keep the correct day? Some claim He didn’t. This question was around and active way back in the 1st Century. What does the Bible say?
The Passover is the introduction to God’s Holy Day plan and is the key to the rest of the Holy Days, this is why God allowed it to be kept in the second month, if the first month observance was missed. We should prioritize self-examination and understand that Christ give us the worthiness to come and keep the Passover service.
Some claim that using this verbiage from Matthew 28:19 when baptizing someone proves that there is a Trinity or Triune God. Is that claim true? And, what does it mean to be baptized “in the name of” Jesus Christ? What about being baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit?” Is there a difference? We’ll examine these questions and discuss them in this message.
Since God is our Father, let’s envision embracing His forgiveness with deep love and connection in preparation for the coming Passover. Let’s place that forgiveness in a place of high importance in our lives, and show the same forgiveness to our fellow man.
