One of the Major Themes of Pentecost is Change. How well are we doing with the change the Holy Spirit can do in each of us?
Are we close to what technologists call the “Singularity”? When computers will achieve human levels of cognition and capabilities? Does mankind have the capability to make this happen? The spirit in man is a component that they are unable to comprehend or duplicate.
We must not allow the fear of death to keep us in bondage. Fear keeps us in bondage to sin. We need to be fearless warriors in God’s army.
Why would the live God want to give us part of himself? Have you ever asked yourself that question? He gave us Jesus Christ isn’t that enough? Today we’re going to talk about God’s family. More importantly, as members in training to be in God’s family how are we to look like to the rest of the world?
Forgiving others is required, but not always so easily done.
Many say “God is love” or “God loves you,” but how to I show love God. We show love to God by keeping his commandments.
God instructs us in the ten commandments not to bear false witness against our neighbor. When we lie, we are speaking in the language of Satan, since he is the original liar and the source of lies and deception. In stark contrast to Satan and lying, we see Jesus presented as ‘the truth, the way and the life.’
We’ll examine the story of Gideon (Jerubbaal) to see how God goes about preparing and making a leader.
A Healthy Heart is Critical to our Well Being, Spiritually even more so.
